8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI only have a year experience with the school but I absolutely love the staff here. My UTK child is excited everyday to go to school and learn. The PTA is fairly active and the parents have been friendly. Small school with a big heart.Other Review9mo ago - Clairemont High School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have to say I have really grown to love this CHS community! My kids are thriving in the classroom & in athletics. I love how Special Education student are treated. I only have positive things to say about this school and the administration. The front office staff are THE BEST!!!Parent Review1y ago - Marston Middle School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AveragePrincipal Golias is great. Friendly, and he walks around campus with his head on a swivel and is fully engaged. But that doesn't seem to trickle down to the teachers. Many teach like they have to be there, not that they want to. Some get openly frustrated with their classes, but yet there are no repercussions for being a disruptive student. So it just gets worse. It's actually quite shocking what kids get away with in class, based on the stories my son has shared. The grading system even seems to be built just for these disruptive kids. "Just move them along" to HS. A traditionally failing grade is still a C.As a parent, you'll need to work with your kid(s) on how to navigate the disruptions in order for them to be successful. But what's worse, and why I'm sharing this review now, is that this year there seems to be a rising theft problem. My son has had his backpack "broken into" for lack of a better term, multiple times. Other kids have stolen his work and his water bottle during 3 different classes. We don't let him take his phone to school for fear it will get stolen. This wasn't a problem the previous 2 years.Parent Review5mo ago - Check out schools near 2866 Luna Ave.

"Though there are many necessities nearby, the area as a whole is not very walkable and requires a car"

"I drive everywhere. Walking or biking isn’t very feasible here. Costco and Clairemont Square are about a mile each from my house but both ways have hills."

"Some homeless and unsupervised teens have been reported to cause some trouble.. (vacant houses are attractive for break-ins). Traffic can be a little heavy getting in and out of some neighborhoods due to poor traffic planning. "
- Emybernardo

"Rush hour traffic is bad and getting worse. City’s push for high density combined with push to reduce lanes and force transit is ruining the quality of life."

"Such a quiet and peaceful place to live. This home is wonderful, such a view and the sunsets are amazing! The fruit trees below I bet produce wonderful fruit. The Granny flat would be ideal for a collage student or an elder person that needs some extra care. This would be my home if my hubby was not in the Navy and was stationed up North..darn-it. Go see what a lovely home this is, and the price has been lowered too! "
