5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThere has been no certified special education teacher at RCHS for 1.5 years!!! Two quit over the summer and they never notified the families. And all of this was after the abysmal excuse for education during 2020 when teachers just didn't teach. Special ed kids (and all kids) need to be in a classroom NOT watching a computer screen for 20-minutes then doing nothing for the rest of the day.I've followed up with the principals, the director of special education and the asst. director of special education and they all kind of sing the same song. Your kid is important to us...but not that important. Not enough to pull a teacher from another school. Not enough to have a fully credentialed administrator lower themselves to teach rather that administrate. The teacher's union and the admin have parents by the short-hairs. You won't get any help here. Go to another school.Parent Review1y ago - Technology Middle

What Locals Say about Rohnert Park
- Cindy Boldt

"There’s nowhere for teenagers to hang out And unless they go to a park, the town is involved in sports and has a good support system. Most neighborhoods are nice well suited for kids, but the crime is increasing w/time."
- Dunhammaddy89

"Sometimes people do not leash their dogs with no recall, although rare it happens. Dogs also jump fences here and tend to get out. Other than that I would say it is a very safe place for dogs as far as cleanliness. Definitely a lot of dog owners here. "

"There is no downtown in ROHNERT Park. The city is sectioned off and each section A-M of the alphabet has a park."

"It’s a small town but growing used to be lots of farm land but not anymore good college town. Great police offices also we have some really great teachers and staff at the schools "

"I’ve lived in Rohnert Park for over a year and really like the convenience of having everything I need around me like grocery stores and the freeways. Housing is expensive though and sometimes it doesn’t feel safe to walk around certain areas alone. "

"I have a very easy commute. I access Petaluma Hill Road from Snyder Lane and take it all the way to Santa Rosa, which is about 12-15 min away. Beautiful drive as well!"

"I have been living here in park ridge apartments for almost 10 years, really it very safe, quiet, the grass well maintained just do not tell everyone the rent might go a little higher. It is very good in average. If any doubts the police station; it 5 minutes away that it is very in orden good to luck, I like like it."

"Only lived here for few months so maybe that’s why it doesn’t feel so neighborly yet, public library is really nice and lots of parks. Lots of grocery stores and big box stores, just not too many little local shops"

"Nice middle income neighborhood, this particular street is like a raceway in the evening...the police don't seem to care or are powerless to stop it."

"I currently commute to Richmond via HWY 101. It is long and slow. Thank goodness for the HOV lane (most days). "
- Rose W. M.

"Lot of stop signs/ lights to get to freeway. Some freeway on-ramps are better than others. Five o’clock is the worst time to be out on the road"
- Bellwtsn
- Resident

"People drive recklessly it’s pretty unsafe and I see parents letting their toddlers walk alone around parking lots and streets I’ve had to tell parents to watch their kids and have had to yell at drivers on multiple occasions when a child was almost hit."
- Melissa S.
- Resident

"Every neighborhood has its designated park which is great to raise children in. That being said, the rising housing costs make it unaffordable for most people to live here. There are also some college parties that can get loud at times. Other than that it’s a decent little town."

"Plenty of sidewalks, open fields and a dog park close by. Nice climate usually cool evenings and nice days. Rarely does it stay hot very long. Yes "
