5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAll students with disabilities are included in all activities and curriculum at the school site. With the importance of inclusion, Students attend regular education classes daily, students have performed in our yearly drama productions, attend band where they play various instruments, art classes are taught every week to each grade level, all students are recognized every Friday during our Friday Dance and Recognition Party, and our students with disabilities are recognized every trimester for academic excellence with the rest of the school population. Henry Elementary VAPA school also includes our Deaf and Hard of Hearing Students (teacher Jackie Long) which are assigned to our campus even though they are directly overseen by the County of San Bernardino School District. These students are Henry Hawks and are included in all of the school activities that have been listed. Our school site also has an after school program called Think Together. This program is led by Nicolette Wilson, Site Coordinator. All students are able to join the program.Principal Review3y ago - Wilmer Amina Carter High School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOverall this school is terrible, to put it simply. There is a lack of equity and access due to the "alpha scholars" program they're now implementing. If you're unaware of the program, essentially it's tracking. A group of students apply and if their test scores, grades, and personal statements meet expectation, they're put in an "elite" class of 36 which have most all of their classes together. To make the situation worse, they close off certain classes to this one class of students. For example, AP Human Geography, and AP European History are only available to these 36 students on a campus of 2000+. This is ridiculous considering that the school focuses their efforts on these students. They cannot honestly say that they are giving their other students an equal or adequate education. Their job is not cater to simply 36 students but the whole student population. This school needs to work on their ability to educate their whole student population rather than promoting a culture of busy work and "just-getting-by". Instead of teaching their students to fish, they give them a fish. Overall is incompetent in providing a college-ready education. (OH, by the way, there reason their honors/ap program is so big and so many students are enrolled, is because they encourage EVERYONE to take them, and then make the classes overly easy. It's no wonder so many people would take "honors" classes when they're not a challenge or rigorous in the least bit.) Do yourself a favor and don't send your kids here.Student Review5y ago - Check out schools near 1169 N Joyce Ave.

"It seems like a good place to walk your animals safely.I walk my dog everyday with no problem. I Love this neighborhood the rent and utilities are just very expensive.I wish they could get rent control and stop charging for utilities separate from your rent.It can become very expensive. It should just be included in rent not rent plus water trash and sewage. They go up on rent every 6 months. this makes no sense. I really need help sometimes.Plus they should give you until the 10th of the month. They only give you 4 days and some of us get paid on the 10 the of the month "

"They wouldn’t like the fact that there are a lot of stray dogs and cats in the area. So if you are walking your pet you may run into a few which could be scary and dangerous for them and their pets."

"Bus routes are walking distance. Metrolink train is right in the heart of Rialto taking you just about anywhere. Access to 10 freeway and 210. Do expect pleanty if dips on the roads as the city is in a slight incline and the dips provide a route for water runoff during rain. "
