4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI went to this school for the 7th grade last year, I would say it’s not the best school to go to. There was always shootings nearby, even behind the school. Some of the kids even carried weapons around around the school and threatened others. If you don’t look or act a certain way there’s a high chance you or you kid will be bullied. The staff here were really supportive, if you were having a problem with other students, teachers, and stuff just in general they are most likely to support you and help you out. Teacher’s were not the best, most of them are good at teaching and explain well. A couple of the teachers didn’t teach you and you were able to be on your phone, call people, watch movies, eat in class, and the teacher would tell you to be quiet so that the other teachers next door wouldn’t tell someone else, they would also tell us we couldn’t tell another teacher.I wouldn’t go to this school again if I could.Other Review6mo ago - Reseda Elementary School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageCleveland is an amazing high school! My son just completed his freshman year and I am impressed with the positive social interactions he has had, the consistent motivation he had thanks to his dedicated CORE teachers, and the rigorous, but engaging curriculum covered. The school feels safe and warm to both my son and to myself. The teachers are truly invested in getting to know their students as individuals and this helps them feel important and seen. It also results in the building of a strong school community with lots of positive connections among the student body and staff. Beyond academics, my son was also heavily involved in the outstanding music program under the direction of Mr. Yassaman. The marching band won the LAUSD City Championship and both the concert and jazz bands earned superior ratings at their competitions throughout the year. More than anything, the kids involved in the music program had a built in family and the ongoing development of responsibility and commitment to a group. All in all, I am thrilled that my son is a part of Cleveland Charter High School and having an outstanding high school experience!Parent Review9mo ago - Valley Academy Of Arts And Sciences

"The business development in my neighborhood is at an upward trend. There’s an annual artwalk and a quaint Southeast Asian community in the center: a handful of excellent Vietnamese and Thai restaurants and retail establishments. It’s mostly comprised of single-family housing, but quite a few apartments and condominiums have popped up in the last 10 years. Needless to say it’s quite a diverse and well-planned neighborhood."

"Schools are not the best in this aria. Lots of crime would not let my kids play in the aria I live in. Prostitution is a problem around the apartment I’m at right now also notice people visibly under the influence during early hours of the day. I would say if your looking to Rise a family this wouldn’t be your first choice. "
