7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageStaff do not how to appropriately communicate with students.Very unorganized and unprofessional.Gang assumptions are very inappropriate, Anderson High School principal is very two faced and can’t seem to be real about anything.Staff yes yet to be supportive or make anyone feel wanted.Anderson High School has yet to have a teacher who has made a student feel that they care for them and do what the student needs from them as a teacher. It’s very frustrating when teachers care less about you or about your grade. The teachers at Anderson High school do not put any effort to talk about if the student fails or not they put in no effort. With that the whole school is not an enjoyable environment for anybody. The assumptions that the principal has made against students about mental health has done nothing make others feel bad about them self’s.I feel that it is very important for a child to have a stable and supportive environment where they feel respected and feel comfortable enough to come to a staff member if they are having trouble. This school absolutely has done the complete opposite of that.Very embarrassing of how unprofessional that adults can be.I would not recommend Anderson High School at all.Parent Review1y ago - Pacheco Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWas not happy with the education, lack of social and emotional support for the kids and the nonsense they were pushing in the curriculum. They wasted so much time teaching new type of concepts (we all know what those are) and completely disregarded literacy and mathematics instruction because of this. I have gifted children and thankfully after pulling them, seeing how behind they were (to be fair most public school children are massively behind) they were able to catch up and learn traditional educational concepts in a private school. Please be aware that tribal members can get private school paid for if a tribe is willing. I would look into this. Private schools also offer help paying tuition. If you need your child to catch up, those are options. I will say that while my children were being told they were the top of their classes in Prairie and Pacheco they were struggling with traditional education at a private school. I am a teacher and possess my masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction with emphasis in early childhood education and my k-12 Liberal Studies degree, Human Development and Social Sciences degree. I am well versed in whole-child education as well as state standards and followed the curriculum during Covid in both Prairie and Pacheco, I would NOT recommend.Other Review3mo ago - Prairie Elementary School

"We live out in the country, we have 3 1/2 acres and electric fencing. We have a security gate. But we can be at the movies or Macy’s in 9-10 minutes. Parents should know to keep their children, pets and home safe with cameras and ADT."

"I lived in this neighborhood for 7 years. The only thing that unique was there is only one-way in & one-way out. So people don’t usually come up here unless they live here or are visiting. Seems to be a safety perk. "

"Anywhere in Redding is approx 15 minutes. Car thefts are high. Theft in general is high. Beautiful city. We moved here in 1991 and the parks were safe for kids. Now, kids come upon syringes etc. making it unsafe. The homeless problem is horrible as they steal and are at every corner begging for money. I’m so looking forward to leave this city after retirement. Mount Shasta and SHASTA lake are nearby. Mt Lassen is also close by to the East. Beautiful areas for hiking. "
