9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy children were well prepared to go to top colleges. One of my kids enrolled in Stanford, the other at UC Davis and my friends kids went to UCLA and UC Irvine last year. So very well prepared and this school has the most taking AP classes and passing the AP tests. Many kids come in from other school and try to transfer to the rancho area to get into a top University. I hear of kids coming from Ontario and Fontana because those schools have some issues. Great staff and community and safe environment too.Parent Review4y ago - Hermosa Elementary School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI've noticed that none of these reviews are recent and what I personally want to say as a year 8 student is that this school is amazing !! I'm already set up to go into honors English next year ! my favorite class at this school would honestly be ELA, Its a very easy and simple class but it makes me feel I have a certain responsibility and I love that feeling !! :)Student Review2y ago - Check out schools near 10079 Copper Mountain Ct.

"I have lived here since 2017 and I absolutely love this neighborhood. It's quite, friendly, safe and very child friendly. There is never any crime and you hardly ever hear emergency sirens. Every single neighbor has been wonderful and polite except one. "

"Best place to live in DC. It’s a beautiful neighborhood that is urban but not downtown. It’s all about the park and trail, tons of restaurants, things to do, grocery stores, markets, bar. Has its own metro in easy walking distance and a trail that connect you to the east side of the city. "

"NoMa Bid has been creating a huge sense of community in Eckington and NoMa. For one they keep the area so clean and you always see their workers sweeping the sidewalks, changing trashing, maintenance at the dog park. And then there’s the events, most at the A.T. Park and the MBTrail. Movie in the park, farmers market, holiday events like pumpkin patch/contest, and of course the mural walls festival. The trail and park have beautiful murals everywhere and each year local artist renew most of them. (NoMa in Color). Also the dog parks is a big vibe in the area, Eckington Dog Park is the best in the city, but there are 4 in the area. Also, Bouldering Project is a cool bouldering and fitness gym. Theres tons of grocery, restaurants, bars and beer gardens, etc. it’s surround by Union Market, Brookland, Shaw, H Street… all connect my the MBT (bike/walk trail) and NoMa/Gallaudet Metro Station (subway). "20 minutes to town, one can go through downtown 25 mph or there are other roads through the countryside that have no lights and higher speed limits to get to the other end of town. 30 min to Carson City. One hour to Reno"
