6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe principal at this school has favorites amongst the parent volunteers/PTA members and gives preferential treatment to their children. There are a lot of teachers and staff that yell at the kids. There is a culture of bullying at this school that is ignored. The class sizes are too large, there are no gifted and talented education opportunities at all ('gifted' is a derogatory term in this school and district that thrives on mediocrity at best!). 5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school under the leadership of Ms. Buscemi is an excellent school. It takes a great leader like her to make a school great and she is just doing that. Before Ms. Buscemi came as the principal, the school used to be run down with miltuple fights breaking, the school now is a different and much improved school. My son is an incoming 6th grader and he is learning so much in each of the classes. Ms. Buscemi is there to support all students every day, i feel my son is in a safe and nurturing environment. "Camelback Road is conveniently located near freeways. You can live here and commute easily to Walnut Creek, Benicia, Pittsburgh, Danville, San Ramon, Lafayette, Orinda, Berkeley and Oakland. There are Bart stations for commutes into SF. Currently commuting to Palo Alto from Pleasant Hill several times a week."

"There are several bike/ walking trails to walk dogs. Very dog friendly area. I have seen many neighbors walking dogs regularly and there are several dog parks in Pleasant Hill."
