    "Placentia is a fun place to live with lots of community events going on. concerts in the park, taste of Placentia, Tamale fest, Harvest parade and so many more. We have a good school system. It is a safe city with plenty of sidewalks and parks. There are plenty of restaurants and shopping centers for all ages and we are centrally located to the 57, 91 and 55 freeways and a hop, skip and a jump to the John Wayne Airport."

    "Dogs are common and welcome in Placentia. Unfortunately, there isn't a dog park in the city, but Brea has a nice, fairly new dog park on Valencia just past Lambert. They recently took the dog waste bins/bags out of the sports complex, but it's not that big of a deal. Most houses here have plenty of room for multiple dogs, just be careful with small dogs in the with as coyotes are active even in early hours of the morning. "

    "Placentia CA is a small city that is great for anyone looking to start a family. It is not perfect but for the cost, it's hard to beat. Crime is minimal. That being said, in the last 8 years of living here, we have never had any major issues with crime. Occasionally there is graffiti, or a car gets broken into, but other than that the crime is pretty low. There are some drugs in the schools but that's true for most high schools. The schools are some of the best around. Our kids both go to El Dorado HS. They loved most of their teachers and all of their schools. The teachers really care about the kids, and I can say with confidence that my kids received a quality education so far. Also, there is a strong PTA available if you want to join. If you are looking for more than a public education, there are several quality private schools in the area as well. Friends have told me they are good schools. Parking is a non issue for us. I am sure depending on your location that could be a factor, but I can say with confidence that we have never had that problem. Apt. residents around the college probably have more issues than we do. The local government agencies i.e. city police and fire are responsive. We haven't needed to use them too many times, but when we do they are always quick. We recently had to call them and from the time my wife called 911, it was less than 5 minutes before they arrived. Every city has their homeless people and Placentia is no exception. You will find some around the shopping areas. The homeless are young adults, and started showing up in the last year or so. Not a lot but some. I was motivated to write this after reading the reviews others had left. I felt they were mostly inaccurate. When it comes to choosing a neighborhood your going to buy a home in, you should get to know as much as possible before choosing. Maybe this will help others considering Placentia. We chose Placentia and so far it's been great."
