3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is literally a pipeline to prison, and my biggest regret is sending my daughter to this failed institution for her 4th and 5th grade school years. For two years she suffered through terrible bullying and incompetent teachers who were unable to provide any structure in their classrooms while the students ran amok and learned absolutely nothing. Two academic years were literally wasted—and when her test scores dropped to alarming levels, her teacher didn’t even blink, must less sound the alarm. I should have transferred my child to another school immediately, but was unable to do so as a single, working parent who was new to the area. The teachers are ineffective and incompetent—they’re basically babysitters struggling to maintain basic order in their classrooms—who simply pass these children through the system without ensuring they are properly educated. The administration takes no responsibility for its failing teachers and students, and does nothing to curb the rampant bullying, fighting, misconduct and disrespectful behavior by the students. The academic and emotional costs were devastating to my child. If you care about your child’s education and well-being, DO NOT send them to this school.Parent Review3y ago - Martin Luther King Jr. Junior High School
