Welcome to 1702 Ocean Blvd in beautiful Shell Beach. Imagine yourself relaxing and enjoying this spectacular ocean view, hear the sounds of the waves and smell the ocean breeze. Take in the nightly majestic sunsets while sipping your glass of wine. Across the street you’ll find the Eldwayen Ocean Park. This is a Shell Beach local favorite. Neighbors gather at all times of the day to enjoy each other’s company, let their kids and dogs play and appreciate this very special place. The home has been well loved and well lived in for over 47 years. Inside you’ll find 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 2 car garage and 1942 sqft +/- all sitting on a 4208 sqft +/- corner lot.  In preparation for the sale new paint and carpet were added to the downstairs living area in order to enhance the look and feel of the space. The 1950’s original kitchen is cozy with a pocket window that peeks out to the living room and the ocean view. The downstairs bathroom is original including a cast-iron bathtub, but the carpet was recently removed and replaced with linoleum.  The home was originally a 2 bedroom 1 bath bungalow. In 1990ish the garage and an upstairs master suite were added. The master suite is approximately 14X22 with 2 walk-in closets. The master bath offers 2 separate vanity areas with a step in shower. There are 2 upper decks. From the front deck you’ll find ocean views and from the back deck you’ll enjoy the mountains. Locals say the Shell Beach village is a special place like no other.  A close knit community.  Very pet friendly, they even host their own dog show. “Best in Shell ''. The recently completed Shell Beach Road StreetScape Project did not disappoint.  The new multi-use path offers more options to explore.  You’ll also find all types of dining selections from Zorro's Cantina to Mei Chinese restaurant and The Shell Beach Brew House that offers New American grub. Two convenience stores for your last minute shopping needs. Locals also gather at the Steaming Bean for morning coffee. It even has its own post office. Dinosaur Caves Park offers a wide variety of local events including Art in the park and several concerts throughout the year. (Pre-COVID) So call your architect and contractor!!!  This is your opportunity to turn this incredible location into your dream home. And while you’re putting your plans in place you can enjoy the home as it is or rent it out.

"Lots of dogs and they’re allowed on the beach which is wonderful. Haven’t seen any unattended droppings and everyone seems kind of friendly but mostly tourist."

"We drove in from Los Angeles. So we originally used valet to park our car once we got here. Once we got here we pretty much walked everywhere because our hotel is right by the pier which is centrally located to everything we wanted to do. While the sidewalks are busy with foot traffic there doesn’t seem to be issues with traffic or places to park. I was told by a bartender that Pismo Beach does not have public transportation. He said the people on staff park far away and use scooters to commute the rest of the way. "

"Pismo Beach is a great place to live! We’ve been here four years and love how safe & clean the community is and how friendly our neighbors are. The close proximity to San Luis Obispo is a big plus too! Lots of local events that are family friendly and terrific fireworks display each 4th of July! Only complaints are how crowded neighborhood streets are from tourism in the summer months and the fact power seems to go out almost every time it rains. "

"The neighborhood that we live in is mostly retired individuals, second home visitors and tourists. Not a good place for young families with children"

  • Trulia User
"My wife and I have only lived in Pismo Beach for six months and our house was broken into after two months. But the Pismo Beach police were terrific, very competent and recovered some of the stolen items. We like our neighborhood, although we find it a bit odd that there are so many houses with renters living there."
