All of his friends from elementary school ended up going to other middle schools so we were a bit concerned at first. He quickly made so many amazing friends, all very kind, and welcomed him into their friend groups. The Principal, Mr. Farrell, and Vice Principal, Mrs. Egan, have a lot to do with the positive culture and vibe of the school....they are so attentive and hands on. So many amazing teachers and staff as well. The awesome clubs and activities are a huge bonus too! 9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOur school is overcrowded, but the district has found a way to work around that. Kids take attendance in one class and then go to another class for all the core subjects. Parents' complaints have fallen on deaf ears. Our test scores are getting worse by the year. 10/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe academics are quite good.The athletics are a completely different story Be prepared to be "asked" to play for the coaches club enterprise or get comfortable with a seat on the bench.No meritocracy here.I've witnessed this with not only with my kids but with other kids as well.Pay to be on their club of perhaps some private instruction ( payed for of course) and you get a good amount of playing time deserved or not.You wonder why the administration allows this but it's been going on for years.
