I would say, for being a low income school, students who were willing to learn, got a good experience. I graduated from Palmdale High, recieved twi Associates and just graduated from a four year University. These Students have a chance, they just have to be willing.

My two children’s experience at Palmdale Learning Plaza have been great. I appreciate all the opportunities this school provides for students to get involved, to serve the community, & to push them to excellence. Great teachers, wonderful school counselor, and excellent International Baccalaureate program. The IB program also focuses on developing characteristics that help students thrive and make a positive impact in the world. I also like that this school has a garden, a sewing for service club, and an active ASB. My kids don’t like that they have to wear uniforms, but my husband and I think it’s great.

I am a parent of a daughter that goes to the school This school has taught my daughter to lie cheat curse, and fight sometimes I feel like the male teachers are extremely obsessed with the popular girls. and all of the sports are very biased my daughter plays volleyball if you are not a favorite, you will simply not get picked to go play no matter if you’re good or bad. sit on the bench the entire time and then, when the parents complain, they threaten to kick your child off the team. basically teachers do nothing about bad behavior The teachers always eat in class. They’re never in control of what their students are doing. They tell the kids not to eat yet they’re sitting at their desk while their butt is getting flatter eating the kids get no learning experience of what high school is going to be like each 50 minute. It’s just them sitting around or running around the classroom with no teachers control because they really don’t care. as a parent would expect them to care more about the child safety, I heard from my child in her friends during a lockdown, the teacher did not turn off the lights, or tell them to get under the desk. if that was a real drill, then that would have been a real problem but the principal simply does not care. I’ve complained to her numerous times and so I really do not recommend sending your preteen or teenager to the school. It really is a toxic environment in every way shape and form who do you want to send your child to the school? Please know they will be suffering from cursing lying cheating mental use physical abuse, and all types of other stuff

I'm so glad God moved us close to this school. One of my kids was a hyperactive and what his teacher did? She lent her son's comic book and then other book and other book; then my son asked me to buy the series, then other series of books. Since then, my son has been a reader. He is in Junior and passing grades with straight "A"s and fine colors. Desert Rose you will be always in our hearts.

If I could go back to Santa Barbara County and put my son back into Santa ynez college elementary school ...I WOULD
