4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI am surprised this school only has a 4 rating. My son is a SPED student is doing great at Madison. He is getting a ton of support and the teachers are awesome. I feel like this school really prepares kids for high school. Also, the principal is amazing.Parent Review1mo ago - Casita Center For Science/Math/Technology

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe particularly love the project based approach of Casita, that the staff and parents are exceptionally engaged, that the curriculum is well balanced between scientific and creative offerings and that despite all that it is an accessible and inclusive school. Our kid loves going to school here and made a lot of friends in the two years she is visiting Casita. The teachers have a great strategy of motivating the children by reinforcing positive behavior and encouraging initiative and independent thinking. The principal Ms. Chien is super approachable, empathetic and her and the staff earned the school a Blue Ribbon award. The only thing that I find irritating, is the necessity for constant fundraising. That being said, the school and PTA excel there to bring in the funds to make the outstanding program at Casita possible. The results speak for itself. Go cougars!Parent Review1mo ago - Vista Academy Of Visual And Performing Arts

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAlthough, the options of extra curricular activities is a bonus and will do many children well, I was disappointed with the treatment of my 2nd grader. He was told he had more expectations put on his behavior (wiggling in class) because of his strong academics. He was above in his class academically but was too wiggly. We did have a great experience with the principal when he was faced with being bullied. It was taken care of swiftly.Other Review4y ago - Rancho Buena Vista High School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy daughter is a freshman this year and so far she's really enjoyed her time at RBV. I feel this school is making a lot of positive changes - It seems campus security has recently made a bigger effort in getting the school cleaned up, the sports program and sports teams are on the rise, and there are a lot of social activities for students to be a part of. As far as the campus, the gym is being remodeled this year, the football stadium will be updated next year, and lot of other big improvements to the campus happening in the near future. This school is moving in the right direction and I am excited to see what it will be when my daughter is a senior.Parent Review1mo ago - Lake Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageCommunity friendly environment that is welcoming of all. Large emphasis on mental health and hands on learning experiences for the children. PTA offers a wide range of opportunities for families to engage in, including many fun events, volunteer opportunities, and after-school clubs. Overall great school!Parent Review7mo ago - Check out schools near 4905 Demeter Way.

"if you like run down trailers high grass lots of wild roaming dogs then this place is for you!some of it is well kept but this trailer is on junk yard lane and condemned house rd. so much trash and terrible roads price to rent way too high for the condition of neighborhood "

"Private but close Great views Not easy with little kids but the trade off is the feeling of more privacy and views. All of sb is a privilege to live in. The mountain side gets more sunshine especially in the winter and mornings. It's close to trails but only 7-10 min drive from the beach. Almost everywhere in Santa Barbara is under 15 min anyway. It's a magical bubble of a place to live. "

"Homeless treated better than folks paying all the taxes. City officials don’t care and waste money. Taxes to high, and pushing out businesses. So much waste of taxpayer dollars!"
