8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have had my children and other family members attend BVHS. Wonderful caring teachers, incredible and very involved Principal and admin. Athletics are very good, with both female and male sports inclusive and successful. More than half the student body plays a sports at the school. Band, Music Machine, Dance Team, Sports Medicine program, BVTV, IB/AP classes are some other amazing programs offered. We have known many students involved in a variety of these activities, all have had great experiences. We are lucky to have this school in our community.I also read some other reviews and felt compelled to write about our personal experiences. There are always kids and parents who don’t have as good of an experience. I have noticed less involved parents/kids in general in society…who like to blame others and not take accountability. 5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy daughter is in Kindergarten and she loves her teachers. She came from a preschool that was 50/50 spanish/english and Valley Vista has the same approach. She has 2 teachers one teaches spanish and the other english. We love that it feels like a small school with about 500 students and that for the most part parents are involved. "We are close to the park in the Marina Bay We’re also close to the trolley station and shopping centers and there’s a park nearby it’s a nice area all the dog owners have to clean up after their dogs anyways"

"I’ve lived here since 1982. My family has 3 generations graduate from Sweetwater High. It has come a long way in urban development. My street I grew up on used to be a dirt road where cowboys rode horses down and ice cream men rang their bell to let you know he’s near. Now it’s grown beautifully, less gangs and less graffiti, Great Police Department, they are good guys that care. "

"and good youth sports. Many varieties of activities and a Boys and Girls Club next to Kimball Park. Caution should be taken, and coaches checked out. Great place to do some volunteer work such snack bar, team mother, scorekeeper."

"I've lived in this neighborhood for 4 years the neighbors are friendly and some have little kids that plays out side with my kids. The park is not too far from here and there is a hospital and senior living within walking distance. "
