The teachers and counselors are invested in the whole student body and they are addressing any social and emotional problems that resulted from the Pandemic. School does a good job to have all students feel inclusive and encourages all students and student leadership to help others feel included. There is not a lot of fights, but if there is one, the teachers and principal will take care of it fast. Teachers do a good job at challenging students in there various subjects and are creative in engaging the student to learn. Love that there is a lot of diversity here and students learn how to relate to everyone in the proper and grown up way.

I have 2 students currently enrolled at Theuerkauf Elementary. There is a large population of students that are socio-economically disadvantaged. The school is under new leadership and so many new programs are being initiated to help students that are at risk of falling through the gaps, get the support they need. It feels like a renaissance of sorts. The PTA is small but active and I feel that it has helped build a good sense of community among the families and especially the students. My kids have friends and playmates from all grade levels. There is a cultural that strives to create a safe, inclusive environment for learning and growing. Programs like Project Cornerstone and Expect Respect teach students about kindness, valuing one another and themselves. I think that there are many ways in which the school can improve but they are on a good course. If there was more parental involvement I think that Theuerkauf could be the best school in the MVWSD.

My daughter had an amzing four years here. Starting from freshman year during covid, the school has been super engaging and really strives to make all students happy. The teachers are really good, especially Ms. Wu, the AP Lit teacher. My daughter has learned so much in her classes and thoroughly enjoyed the sports like soccer, tennis, and lacrosse.
