I really disagreed with parent and teacher dancing night. My son has had 4-5 long term subs in English ……..the first one said at open house that they didn’t know what they were doing because there were no lesson plans. It’s March, and he hasn’t read a book in English or performed a play in drama. On back to school night I had to correct students running down the hall, shouting profanities, and talking so loud I could not hear the teacher presentations……. without a blink from their teachers..Many of our friends got into Monterey highlands to avoid the school. I see my optimism was a huge mistake. Garvey has zero continuation of learning from the elementary schools as it goes into full-on test prep at the expense of a worthwhile education..Garvey has always been a school that students must make it through before getting into the Alhambra district. "Semi retired but equally close to area freeways. near 60, 10, 5, 101, 710 and only 7 miles to 605. No problem getting to freeway headed to any major are, usually accesable in 5-15 minutes. "
