    "We used to live in this part of town and I miss the proximity to the Sunday Farmer's Market, the coffee shops and stores. We could walk (stroller-stride) or bike to pick up a few items at the grocery store and be back home in no time. The sidewalks are in good condition and the traffic is minimal and courteous, especially since Imjin Parkway routes thru-traffic away from town. I wish the schools were better but they're average for Monterey (so-so). But the cost of living in Marina makes commuting to schools outside the area doable."

    "We love it here. We rented in Carmel and bought in Marina. Close to the beach, pet friendly and very safe and quiet. Everything you could want or need is within 1 to 5 miles of any neighborhood in this area including the beach!!! The City provides great rebates on watersaving devices if you're remodeling and on drought resistant landscaping. Only 12 miles from downtown Carmel and 7 miles to Monterey, Marina is centrally located to everything."
