5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis is the best school in Los Angeles in my opinion. My favorite thing about this school is the student store. Everything there is 1 dollar and the items are big for its price. Another thing about this school is the lunches. Kids have a better chance of getting better lunches than elementary. Learning is easy in this school because you're not in one class. There are police outside so just in case of a school shooting there would be cops or security. This school is big so kids would have more space. This school does not have recess so kids have to get used to it. The teachers also don't give a lot of homework. A lot of parents get concerned just because of the rumors and the environment but it's not true. Parents are just too overprotective these days. At the end of the day you should send your kid or kids here.Student Review2mo ago - Farmdale Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis is a true community school with teachers who have been committed to Farmdale for decades. Our new principal Mrs. Maldonado is wonderful. My daughter is now in second grade and every teacher has been truly exceptional, and the staff is kind and organized. Even with Covid having interrupted school for my child since kindergarten, this still feels like a tight knit community. We couldn’t be happier and can’t wait for our toddler to become a Hawk!Parent Review2y ago - Abraham Lincoln Senior High School

"I’ve been living here for 2 years now & it feels like a safe neighborhood being next to the hospital, patrol cars are everywhere. For the months of June and July the nights are loud bc of people nonstop setting off fireworks, but it’s whatever. The train horn is so loud. Lots of ice cream trucks coming by in the afternoon, so your kids in luck if he’s got a sweet tooth "

"It’s decent. Since the 10 , 710, 5, and 60 freeways are close by, I can easily get anywhere I need to go. The only negative thing is traffic. But that’s becoming a daily part of life. I work in la puente. I can get there in a little over 22 minutes with no traffic. The ride home is almost the same. "

"Most parts are family friendly. However, there seems to be more homeless people looking through the trash and camping on the corner of Brawley & Valley. It makes walking your dog in the late afternoon a not-so-pleasant experience. "
