So impressed with the teachers and parent involvement. Our duaghter has learned so much in her first six months of TK. I only have seen great things thus far and looking forward to the future.

My daughter is in kindergarten which is her first year at Glenfeliz. I have encountered nothing but support for my child’s educational needs from faculty and staff at this school. I have voiced concerns respectfully to faculty and staff and have had nothing but respectful solutions to my concerns. Pro-tip if you’d like an alternative after school program at a public school. Gather all the parents who are interested in the program and approach an alternative after school program with the amount of interested parents. They will tell you if there are enough students to start a program at your school AND let you know how much that will cost out of pocket. LA’s Best is a FREE after school program for LAUSD kids. Private after school programs charge a fee, even LA Parks & Rec programs.

Some kid brought a gun to school once and the administration didn't find out until the end of the day, some kid brought a knife to school, and there was a lock down in October of 2022. There are also a lot of kids who do drugs and vape in the bathrooms.

My son began 9th grade at John Marshall last year, initially, things went well, but then he was bullied, and the school knew but didn't inform us. This year, he's still being bullied by the same family, and the school hasn't acted. The staff is overwhelmed, and my son's education is suffering. He's struggling because he has to worry about self-protection and can't focus in an unhealthy social environment. Recently, a student's mother even had to intervene in the courtyard.
