What Locals Say about Lincoln Heights

  • Aldric G.
"Dog owners would like walking their dogs around the neighborhood as the blocks are big enough for good walking distances and there is a park nearby for dogs to run around and play."

"Easy access to public transportation towards DTLA. No chance of making it to OC or IE with out some difficulty. Being close to DTLA, rush hour traffic isn’t easy to beat."

"Unsafe neighborhood with bad public schools. It’s not wise at all to start or raise a family here. "

"If you can look past the run down nature of the houses. The neighborhood has a lot of character. The people keep to themselves but there are a lot of families that live here. It's pretty quiet except when the Ice cream truck rolls by. "

"There is a lot of grass to walk your dog but there is also a lot of old vegetation that tends to over grow and get stuck to your pet and there is also coyotes here from time to time also a lot of stray cats "

"Lots of people walk their dogs. Very pleasant during the day. Very different story at night! Dog poo seldomly picked up. Close to hiking path trails and parks. Lots of good grocery stores but not sure if they’re pet friendly. I own a cat but I can tell the neighborhood is cohesively shared with mans best friend. I love it here!"

"There are occasional carnivals. Very fun. They close the street and you ride attractions. They sell tickets and with them you can ride the attractions. "

"Lately for these specific apartments it’s not that great. It’s not well protected and I say this because I have witnessed people breaking in (homeless & drug users). Nobody is actually caring enough when we report these issues. "

"Not the best/safest neighborhood. I enjoy living so close to DTLA & the delicious taco/corn stands, but that's about it. There are no good grocery stores in the area and I can never tell if it's fireworks going off or gunshots. People are really inconsiderate with how loud they are at night, even on week nights. "

"Schools are close by within walking distance. There’s a lot of cultural arts programs in Lincoln Park, from music to dance and art. The area is slowly being gentrified. USC school of medicine and pharmacy is slowly taking over: there are a lot of USC affiliated people moving into the neighborhood."
