6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is disproportionately minority students and caters to kids who are not white and straight. I constantly get messages about equity and inclusion and how I should support it but nothing ever about how to protect all student from the weekly fights that take place between non-white students. The Spanish teacher (chair of the Spanish Dept.) has an LGBTQ flag in her classroom that she took down for back to school night when parents were going to be at the school. The next day, she put it back up. Strange. Seems she’s hiding something. Patents are not made to feel welcome and are questioned at the entrance upon showing ID. I’m surprised they’re not frisked, which is what should be done with most of the students. They also got rid of school security for the 2022-23 school year and fights broke out weekly, if not more, between non-white students. 3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis is our "neighborhood school" that very few neighborhood kids go to. We permitted into the "much better" Palms Middle School only to find daily fights, bullying, and a general lack of attention from staff. Webster has 1/3 the enrollment of Palms (and less than half of Mark Twain) so the staff can be more attentive. The principal, Ms Bell, as well as the Assistant Principals and Dean are standing in front of the gates in the morning to welcome kids, reminding parents of happenings at the school, and building relationships with the students and parents. My kid, who never feels safe, feels safe there. Teachers have been in constant communication and reply to emails and texts (yes, they give out their cell phone numbers) and schoology is constantly updated so we always know what is going on. While the test scores do not show it, the opportunity to learn is absolutely there. Even by LAUSD standards this school is a bit dated. I'm guessing it is because enrollment is low and LAUSD funds are spent on... other priorities. I bought into the neighborhoods opinion of Webster "not being an option". We didn't even consider it when considering middle schools. We got caught up in the WISH, GALA, CWC, charter school application process then permitting to ANY other school close by and didn't give Webster a fair shot. I'm now kicking myself for not sending my kid here from the start of middle school. If you live in the neighborhood do yourself and your child a favor and give Webster genuine consideration. Don't take my word for it, stop by at pick up time and chat up a few parents. I have no doubt you'll hear the same from them.Parent Review7mo ago - Clover Avenue Elementary School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe moved here due to relocation for to complete my education for UCLA. I was skeptical about LA school district being new to the area. But I was beyond impressed and felt so the welcome at Clover .My daughter was doing state testing at average of 2/3 .Within just one year at clover her state average increase to 4/5. She ended up going into the gifted magnet program we did through LAUSD Choices, at Palms middle school . The transition was smooth and my kiddo knew plenty of Clover kids from at the start of 6th grade .The best of Clover is their cultural night and the kids get to showcase their culture as well as learn and experience cultures from their fellow classmates.Mrs. Kaufman is awesome . Incredibly gifted and passionate about teaching . At Clover most of the teachers have been there for long and embrace their careers. They demonstrate it through the care they provide the students and how effective their teaching methods are .Lastly , the STAR (after school program) is amazing ! My kiddo didn’t want to even come home sometimes because she wanted to stay at the program with her pals. They have great interactive and fun filled learning activities all the time. "My neighborhood is great place to live for me, and I am very selective. Property values are going higher due to new construction and younger families are moving in. Great eateries and entertainment options keep popping up on monthly basis. Great invest to rent for higher returns and possible retirement income if one can afford current prices and mortgages. "

"I love this area. It’s quite and secure. Houses are well maintained and highly valued. It’s close to metro and nice friendly shopping center. Close to freeway and Beverly Hills and other affluent neighborhoods. Nice place to walk in the morning and in evenings. Mix families live here and all are educated and well mannered. "

"Have lived here for over 30 years and it's only gotten better. Great neighbors, many animals, good neighborhood watch, easy access to all Westside, and now great new addition of light rail to make access even better to downtown LA, and other light rail stops. House prices have stayed high and bargains go very quickly."

"Very central yet woodsy but well kept and pretty. Easy access to the 10 and 405 within minutes. Within 5 miles of the ocean and 8 minutes from downtown Los Angeles without traffic. Rush-hour traffic is usually going the other direction. Tuck between two major studios, 20th Century Fox and Sony and minutes from Century City. Lots are large and houses are well kept. One of the best K-5 schools in LA plus magnet Palms school."
