3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageYou DO know that your new principal single-handedly destroyed the teacher and student morale at Eagle Rock High School, yes? Shame on LAUSD for leaving him there for 9 years and giving this monster another job! (He was suspended for nearly two years for his bullying and inappropriateness.) Got rid of several teachers and counselors -- ALL of them Caucasian, btw. Good luck with this psychopath!Other Review8y ago - Florence Avenue Elementary School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageTeachers here are the reason the school doesn't sink. Admin has a wonderful way of letting bullies do whatever they want. Principal Acosta should be reported to the superintendent after every bullying incident she does nothing about. There is zero accountability at this school.Other Review10mo ago - Huntington Park Senior High School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI would rate this school a 4 because last year they integrated a STEM Magnet program which has a very good rating. This program engages students in success and achieving new things. I am very glad to have this program in this school in Huntington Park.Student Review3y ago - Linda Esperanza Marquez High A Huntington Park Institute Of Applied Medicine

"Limited sidewalks and street lighting at night. I rarely walk or stroll around in the area and drive everywhere. A few restaurants and a coffee shop is walkable, about 15 minutes on near Wilshire."

"Car traffic due to alt freeway entrances has become dangerous for walking or biking. Some vandalism exists. "

"I grew up here, and it feels very much like home. The traffic is minimal, there’s both high and lower end shops, and it’s incredibly safe and quiet."

"Venice is unique and eclectic with wonderful restaurants and a fun nightlife. It’s a great place for young people. "

"Very walkable streets and high dog population neighborhood. Lots of people out walking in the evenings on a nice day, many with baby strollers, dogs or both."
- Adam Harman

"We moved to this neighborhood as a predominate work-from-home location. It’s a good community with lots of lot space where even in heavy commuter traffic you can get to the west side in ~45 mins. This feels especially satisfying compared to further out communities that people go for similar space but require 1-1.5 hour commutes each way."
- Adam Harman

"Neighborhood has yearly events, such as a holiday get together and the area draws a lot of people for Halloween festivities. There’s a number of young families that have come into the area in the past couple years and there’s good above average interaction and playtime amongst them, compared to other areas of Los Angeles from experience."

"I mostly commute by car or bicycle. There are glstretts with sidewalks and many trees, quite area to walk with dogs. Also, Lake Balboa and VNSO within 10min drive. I like Sherman Oaks "

"A few good parks for dogs at the periphery of the neighborhood, many dog lovers. However sidewalks disappear at critical moments making walking with a dog treacherous and there's some big dog phobia here (same as many parts of LA) "

"Diversity and architecture are both very important aspects of the neighborhood. There are great small businesses as well, especially along Pico. Needs safer streets though as cars speed all the time and the area is pinch point for several main boulevards. "

"I lived in this neighborhood for over a year. The weekends are loud you can hear music being played from houses down the street. Not walkable at all. Huge dogs everywhere and doesn’t feel the safest. Pretty dirty and unmaintained. Closest grocery store is a food for less which is dirty and not where I would want to buy my groceries."
