5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son was a student at this school and overall the experience was horrible. The teachers and administration are incapable of performing their jobs. I feel really sorry for the kids that go to this school, there is a real need for mentors and leaders to inspire students in this particular community but unfortunately this school governed by a bunch of incompetent buffoons that have no business teaching or running a school, the staff is confrontational and ineffective at handling their jobs or if problems should arise, the teachers don't really care about the student's education but rather just getting their paychecks, taking care of business in the "hood" and scurrying back to their houses in the westside.Parent Review7y ago - Evergreen Avenue Elementary School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageGoing to this school was a terrible experience. No one helps you in what you need. The college center is out of order and don't really help students who want to pursue careers such a art, theatre, etc. This school is very sports heavy that they fund it to much than the other activities.Student Review5y ago - East Los Angeles Renaissance Academy At Esteban E. "Noisy , no parking at all. Really bad communication between the staff and residents. A lot of stray cats and roaches and rats and possums. Property looks like it is just painted over once someone moves out, even the bathtub. They took parking away from residents which is supposed to be first come first served, and started charging over 75 dollars for a reserved parking spot that you cannot choose. Basically, whatever is available, could possibly be far from your place of living. And it’s only one reserved spot per household. When school is in session, there is always traffic or always traffic around 5 on the school street. Price is too high for living in a bad neighborhood with hardly no benefits. "

"Tired of the people here that are moving in. I’ve been here for 23 years and certain streets get uglier and uglier by the week. People keep throwing their trash on the street and it just builds up. They keep building apartments here when it’s already too populated here. There’s never no where to park due to it being so packed here. "
