5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have been at this school since kindergarten, and I will be promoted this year (I am in 8th grade). I believe that this school is excellent, but that just might be me being biased. My learning experience was alright, not too bad, but not amazing either. The teachers are great, only a few of them being a bit sour. Social-emotional support, it's alright, although sometimes they might push it into our faces a bit much. Special education, I'm not sure as I have never experienced it much myself, besides going in and out of Kid Connection, I can't really say anything about it. My friends have experienced it and say it's not the best. As for safety, they're really not doing much about it, at least in my experience. I am a victim of bullying in a couple of cases, reported 2 different situations, one this year, and one last year, and they didn't do anything about it besides a slap on the wrist! It's really irritating. For family engagement they do well, they have Family science night that I enjoy, and sometimes teachers do projects or assignments that include talking, or basically having an interrogation with a family member about the topic of the thing. Going back to what I said, it's a good school, it's just the moderation of the students and things like that that need a little more work.Student Review1y ago - Granada High School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is hoenestly really great, it takes time to find the right teacher just for you, to help you learn specifically. (We love Mr.K) The teachers on campus are realyl friendly and easy to talk too, you just need to be able to be open with them about help. But the students on campus need decipine. There is lots of things this school could be but the students need more help, but there is a mass amount of homophobia, xenophobia, genuine racism, ableism, and violence from the students. There were many tims on campus where I felt unsafe, and I couldn't open up to anybody about it. The support that my friends we're giving me couldn't be enough. I enjoy all the opertunites I get at this school, but the drawbacks make me thing that it isn't that great.Student Review1y ago - Rancho Las Positas Elementary School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageFrom our first interaction with Rancho Las Positas, it was clear that this wasn't just another school. It's a place where education transcends the traditional boundaries of learning, where every child is seen, heard, and valued. The school's commitment to academic excellence is evident in every classroom, every teacher's approach, and the innovative programs they offer. My child has been introduced to a world of knowledge, from STEM to arts, in ways that spark curiosity and a love for learning. What truly sets Rancho Las Positas apart, though, is its heart—the community. Walking through the school, you're greeted with smiles, a sense of warmth, and an unmistakable feeling of belonging. Diversity is not just accepted but celebrated, creating an environment where every student can thrive. This inclusivity, coupled with a strong emphasis on values like respect and kindness, has been instrumental in my child's personal growth.Parental involvement is another cornerstone of the school's philosophy. We've always been encouraged to play an active role in our child's education, fostering a partnership that I believe is key to any child's success. The open lines of communication and numerous volunteering opportunities have made it easy to stay engaged and contribute to the vibrant school community.Above all, the safety and well-being of students are paramount at Rancho Las Positas. The staff's dedication to creating a secure and positive learning environment allows us, as parents, to have peace of mind knowing our children are in good hands.Reflecting on our time at Rancho Las Positas, I am filled with gratitude for the profound impact it has had on our lives. It's more than a school—it's a community that nurtures, challenges, and prepares our children for the future. If you're considering Rancho Las Positas for your family, I wholeheartedly encourage you to take that step. It has been a remarkable journey for us, one that I hope your family gets to experience too.Parent Review2mo ago - Check out schools near 438 Huntington Way.

"Easy. I just started a new job and have an approximately 1.4 mile drive to work. Takes me about five or six minutes. There is usually not much traffic just one school to go by which has a little congestion in the morning. Besides that my commute is very easy and comfortable. I do not want to move far away from where I am now because I want to stay close to my job."
