3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe school and teachers are very hit and miss. Some teachers are excellent, they care about the students and want them to do their best along with be their best. Others, not so much. My son flat out told me that he has talked to teachers about issues with other students and the teachers basically said, "oh well". He has had multiple issues with other children (from the same group), and minimal is done. The kids are barely punished, and it's definitely not "No Tolerance" like they state. A friend of my son's was harassed, and touched inappropriately by another student, and nothing was done. They ended up transferring schools to get away from this bully because of the lack of help from the school. The principal from last year left about halfway through the school year, and we received a "long term sub" type principal, who is now the current principal. However, no parents were informed that the original principal left or anything. There are fights at least, every other day. I went here myself, and I regret sending my son here. I plan to transfer him, and I won't be sending his younger sibling to this school. LBUSD needs to get their act together and make sure the schools are enforcing the rules that they set.Parent Review1y ago - Lakewood High School
