4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is full of bullies. Not recommended. Many bullying includes racism, discrimination, physical bullying, verbal bullying, and gossip. The kids here has no integrity at all. Everywhere I look, I see kids on videogames when they aren't suppose to, kids with their phones out, and kids constantly break rules here all the time.Student Review11mo ago - Olivewood Elementary School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school fails in regards to diversity, for the school has a student body that is mostly Hispanic. I am not sure what happened to the other demographics, but they have seemed to move onto to other choices in education. Nevertheless, my nephew went to kindergarten here. The teacher was fine at educating, and he progressed well in his studies, but he was one of only a couple non-Hispanic kids, and the parents were downright hostile because he is white. He invited all of the kids to his birthday party (despite never being invited to any of theirs), and was told outright from the other kids that their moms wouldn't let them go to the party. So, here we have a heartbroken 5 year old who has been told that the other kids aren't allowed to be his friend. It's a horrible situation and the school is aware of it, but won't do anything for fear of offending the Hispanic families. As I mentioned, the teacher (Mrs. Gray) was great and did her best despite the student body and administrative support. The only saving grace is that my nephew and his family will be moved into their new home and he will be attending a new school that has a higher score and a more diverse student body. Therefore, from what I witnessed and was told by my nephew, brother and sister-in-law, if your child is not Hispanic, prepare them to be the outcast socially. Hence, I can't recommend this school at this time!Other Review6y ago - La Tierra Early Childhood Center

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageLove, love, love this program, my older daughter went here and now my 4 year old is part of the same program, preschool connection plus. We love her teacher and I made sure that my younger daughter registered early so we could get the same teacher. She is the best!Parent Review11y ago - Check out schools near 2148 Via Puerta #D.

"I’ve lived here for 6 months and visited friends here for years. The community Is very active and safe, lowest crime in all of Orange County. Plenty of things to do and neighbors are friendly, but to themselves. It’s like a huge timeshare village.. but when people check out, they check out"

"Lots.. it’s a VERY ACTIVE community. Like bridge clubs, dances, walking clubs, golfing, yoga, private buses to take you to grocery stores, restaurants and throughout the community so you rarely walk places."

"I have lived here for over ayear and a half and so far it's been great. nice neighbors that care about you, always something to do or not do. Also lots of community events. I specially love the location and close proximity to everything... there's Mother's, Trader Joe's, Kings, and close proximity to Irvine Spectrum and Laguna Beach. I especially like that it's gated and private. Has a country club type for you feel. Lots of active seniors staying active, walking their dogs and caring about their community."

"We have lived here for 10 years and have enjoyed the neighborhoods and amenities very much. Also the location can't be beat! We are close to the Pacific Coast Highway and all the beauty that brings. We are also nestled below the Saddleback Mts. and get some beautiful sun and moon rises. Come down and check it out!! "

"Several of my relatives have lived in Laguna Woods Village (Leisure World). My husband and I moved here about 15 years ago and LOVE the community. Lots of free services and activities for the monthly fee---worth every penny. AND only 10 mins to Laguna Beach too!"

"This is Ross Cortese's master planned large scale retirement community. Built in 1964, it lacks the amenities of competitive retirement communities in California. Grounds are kept up fairly well, but aging infrastructure is a major concern. Median age is nearly 80."
