"Neighborhood has homeless people and thieves. Cars constantly get broken into here. People trying to take their dogs into every place and it is all too expensive."

"I work in Ramona so jumping on the 67 in the morning from the 8 is a breeze. I used to work in Scripps Ranch and the comings was less fun on the 15, mostly because more people were traveling in that direction. "

"I have a short 8 minute commute where I don't have to use the freeway at all. It's great! Otherwise it can be a tad busy in the mornings from 7:30-8:30am and in the evenings from 5-6pm in weekdays. But nothing too bad."

"No matter. I work from home. But we are located close to all major thoroughfares. Only 5 minutes downtown La Mesa, and about 20 minutes to North Park. Mission Hills shopping is also very close. And Grossmont Center is even closer."

"I rented here, and now moved back a few years ago to buy my first place. Quiet, no issues with neighbors, police department and library close by, easy access to freeway and lake murray, cowels mountain for exercise. Every year they have a December winter Christmas celebration, rides, restaurants open, vendors, a must see free event near Spring street. Can't beat the price, move close to main San Diego prices jump at least by another 100,000. For now La Mesa is home."

"I love living in La Mesa, unfortunately, owning a home here is lucrative so prices are higher and the population in the past has tended to skew older like retirement age. Downtown La Mesa Blvd. is opening new restaurants and breweries though and La Mesa is starting to become a young and hip place for people in their 20’s-40’s."
