5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son has gone to this school from kindergarten to 5th grade. We have had nothing but good experiences. I love the staff. All of the teachers are well experienced and they all care deeply about the students. They have an excellent ESS program. The school grounds are clean and well kept. I like that the school works with the parents and it feels like teamwork. They plan a lot of family events and field trips, which I've always valued.Parent Review1y ago - Spring Valley Middle School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school has some teachers who know how to teach the subject and make it understanding when others don't. This school has a lot of students who fight for idiotic reasons and the school handles it decently. They force the different grades to go out to the field between Monday through Thursday and you don't get a say. The principal found out one of my friends lied about her grade and told her parents that she lied and that he had a boyfriend. I dont know why that was necessary. The nurse is really nice and cares for the students. The councilors are good at doing their job and even giving students fidget toys when they need it for anxiety or some other reason. I would beware of how bad some students are and how some teachers teach because some teachers don't know how to teach without the whole class understanding and some students do drugs and fight for dumb reasonsOther Review1y ago - Monte Vista High School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMVHS has been a great school for my kids! One of my children graduated from MV last year and another child started this year. The staff are so wonderful and supportive. Since it’s a smaller school, there is more personalized attention and teachers/staff know my kids. The advanced classes are rigorous and get students ready for college and life beyond high school. The other students have been so inclusive and friendly. My children have made many friends during their time at MVHS. It’s a school that doesn’t get a lot of attention, but it should! Good things are happening at MVHS every day. Don’t listen to that earlier review. Not only is it hearsay, it’s not accurate at all. My child and another classmate is at Berkeley this year after graduating from MVHS. Many of their classmates are attending college this year at schools such as UCLA, UCSD, UCSB, and Cal Poly to make a few. MVHS is a hidden gem in so many ways. We’re proud to be a Monarch family!Parent Review5mo ago - Check out schools near 4333 Lomo Del Sur.

"I bought in to this neighborhood a year ago because it is eclectic and a good value. not a subdivision where the houses are all similar, we have a lot of neighbors who have lived there most of their lives."

"When we first moved to La Mesa, I wasn’t sure I liked it. The main streets aren’t all that pedestrian-friendly but parking in Downtown La Mesa can be a pain. Now that I’ve been here two years and know my frequent routes well, I really love it. The playgrounds are great for my toddlers. And for a family Sunday we have great options in Lake Murray, Cowles Mtn, Mt Helix, and Santee Lakes all just a few minutes away. The 4th of July fireworks are awesome. It really is a great place to raise a family. "
