7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe entire staff at El Portal, from those in the front office to teachers to part-timers, work tirelessly for the students. The emphasis is on education, but there is always something fun to look forward to on campus, too. Staff is so warm, helping students to be the best they can be academically and behaviorally through encouragement and high expectations. By second grade, my children were already dreading the thought of ever leaving.Parent Review3y ago - La Habra High School

"I’ve lived here for almost two years - I think what makes it unique is that it’s upper middle class but it feels very grounded. There are some fancy areas but at the same time, no one gets upset when there’s a very loud party every now and then. I also love that it feels safe, there’s lots of great places to walk, we have so many stores close by to shop, there’s lots of natural hills and areas, and it actually feels like there’s a sense of community even if we’re not talking to each other constantly. "
