4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWhile there are a few students that truly overcome the school conditions and go on to bring honor to their town, the vast majority do not. The expectations are very low. I have yet to see anyone become a commended merit scholar much less a national merit scholar. I would love to see the percentage of AP students that pass the AP test and receive college credit. Even the students complain about the class scheduling and the bullying. It's funny that most people here think the schools are good. I guess they have never been in a really good school and do not know the difference.Other Review8y ago - Chalone Peaks Middle School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSo recently a family member of my goes there he’s autistic and he’s a 7th grader so the issue is that he’s suppose to go to lunch w everyone else @12:25 like every other 7th grader and 8th grader but we ended up watching him from a far to see how’s he doing with all the change to getting used to have a schedule so we go by @12:02 and he’s out having his lunch with the 6th graders we were like why is he out before time so okay we wait there watching him be alone no staff talking to him no kids trying to interact with him nor any staff to ask if he’s alright okay the 6 grade bell rings he gets up and leaves we’re like okay he's going to class but nope he comes back lost so his mom is watching from far she gets frustrated seeing her son have no clue what to do he gets back to the area where they have lunch and we’re like what why is he out for so long so his mother calls him from the fence so he begins to cry and he mentions to her that the yard duty lady didn’t let him head to his class in the library that she had a rude attitude with him and not to mention why didn’t no staff walking around see him there for long time and approach him to ask where is he suppose to be or ask him what class is he suppose to be in general just ask him if he’s alright and yes there was staff around him. He did know where to go but when he was headed to his class the lady rang her whistle and stopped him from going to his class she didn’t ask him hey where your headed no she just told him to get back to the lunch area and this upset him very much . So I ask myself what changes Can there be so situations like this don’t occur to any of the students there !!!Other Review8mo ago - Santa Lucia Elementary School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school has a lot to contend with, most notably huge budget cuts, many kids who show up unable to speak English, and many kids whose parents cannot help them with their homework. Yet, there is a dedicated core of long-standing teachers there who do their best to make the most of the circumstances. The school has a cohesive spirit, very little trouble with bullying, and a growing program in which motivated parents volunteer their time to help overcome those obstacles.Parent Review13y ago - Del Rey Elementary School
