5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI graduated from this high school in 2018 so believe me when I say that this is a good school. One of they key factors that make this school good is they teachers. Some teachers are great instructors and some are not. Those that are, tend to care the most about the students and help them to learn. I took mostly honor and advanced classes, but for regular classes it may be a bit boring and undisciplined especially at the younger grade level. The atmosphere of the school is great in my opinion. Everyone is nice and you hardly see anyone getting bullied or being ridiculed by other students compared to other schools. Although the test scores may not be as high as other schools, this school did teach me a lot. There are a bit of negatives such as the administration. They tend to care about the security of their jobs than the students. The staff is friendly and interactive among some students. 3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe teachers here are great! I also think things were handled really well during the pandemic. The school is very involved in preventing and addressing bullying, however one of my children was playing around with a good friend. The friend ended up getting hurt (poked in the eye) and got mad. This was observed by the principle and we were calledTo the office when picking her up. Half way through the conversation I realized the principle had no idea they were friends. Once i advised them of this, the whole tone changed. They had jumped to the label of bullying very quickly- which I’d it had been bullying I would actually appreciate. In this specific scenario they jumped to conclusions and never stopped to get the full story. My child should have still been in trouble for playing around, I just disagreed with the label. I still have them a 4 because I feel they handles it and they did listen to my child and myself and were willing to change the way things were documented so I also give them credit for that. They also have a great counsler that works with the kids on different issues and teaches different lessons and life skills. "I have lived here for 2 years and the large 1 acre horse properties are what makes this place unique. The beautiful Frisian horses are ridden around our streets and to the shops and restaurants. Plus you can ride the river bottom as well."
