"I live 15 minutes from literally EVERYTHING. This area is so close to freeways and makes any commute easy. "

"Fast (potentially dangerous) neighborhood and surrounding traffic, loud noises at all hours, homeless presence is significant, crime is present but not overly terrible, and ironically street parking is surprisingly ok. Mostly, the Melrose, Highland and Santa Monica traffic and general noise are primary downsides."

"Would be a great neighborhood. It’s super walkable, great restaurants and bars, but constant sirens and police helicopters. Having said that it’s actually pretty safe just very loud and dirty. And there is a significant homeless issue."

"Easy to get around and centrally located but parking is hard to find on the streets. Can get congested if you are coming home late in the evening on the weekends. "

"Not far from Hollywood/Highland Red line and there are plenty of bus routes nearby. I prefer driving my own car or catching an Uber, but “whatever floats your boat,” it is within reach. "

"I’ve lived here a year and like it fine. Walkable to grocery store, errands, transit available. Huge police presence and frequent police helicopters which are a nuisance. Sidewalks are dirty, sometimes feels unsafe at night. "

"There is significant crime and streets are not very safe for kids to play near. I live in Melrose Hill which is literally a charming residential utopia in the middle of madness so my take on Hollywood is a bit skewed"
