Leave ALL reviews up...good and bad...they are the true measure of a school! Now...onto my review. The teachers are fantastic, concerned, and supportive. The administration side of this school (front office), however is awful. Any time I go to the office to ask a question about special events, afterschool activities, parental volunteering, etc, I'm referred to the parent center...when I go to the parent center, after trying sometimes in vain to ask my question, they refer me back to the office. The parent center is run by wonderfully sweet volunteers, however since none of them are 1st-language English speakers, I run into severe communication problems quite frequently. Don't try to ask the front office about school policies either...the office staff will tell you to ask the principal...the principal will tell you to ask the office staff. The school office is completely disorganized and lacking in any true leadership. Then at every open house, the principal has the nerve to talk about how great they are. 6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating Averageyes, i switched schools from ochoa to mlk and that was actually one of the worse choices ive made. At ochoa, i was happier and more socialable and the kids here arent rude at all. its also very safe, compared to mlk. During my 2nd week at mlk, a intruder got into a school even though mlk has very high gates. Everyone says that mlk is better then ochoa, but me myself I am asian. People here at ochoa were not racist to me at all and very kind. I made a lot of friends at ochoa before i switched. Me personally, i think ochoa is better. "Very quiet where I live except during the school hours because my house faces the Lorin Eden elementary school playground. I work from home and it actually was nice to have because my 3 kids went to that school and I could watch them play during the day."

"Its just a place to live not much goes on around here. Homes are over priced the neighbors are very reserve. Definitely no glamorous like SF or Oakland parking around here is very non-accessible. The kids around here are very rowdy and in some cases disrespectful. This is really just a place to live if you don’t spend much time at home."
