4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe're happy with this school. So far, our experience has been great with the teachers, school principals, school admin & students. No bullying that we as parents or my kids have encountered. They did an amazing job during the Distance Learning & has been working hard to keep our kids safe right now in welcoming them back at school for in-person learning.Parent Review2y ago - Hayward High School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageBoth my children have excelled at Hayward High. My daughter is now entering her sophomore year at UC Berkeley and my son is definitely UC bound. Their AP program is excellent and prepped my daughter well for the academic curriculum at Berkeley. Just stay in your kid's "business", make sure they take challenging courses, stay respectful of their teachers and participate in sports or other clubs and your children will do well.Parent Review9mo ago - Winton Middle School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI gave 4 stars based on my daughter's 2 years experience here. She excelled academically, had good teachers & had a wonderful middle school experience w/ her friends. However, in my opinion, Winton needs a new principal that would highlight the schools' academic abilities & their good performing students & just change the school's environment. This school needs more "adult supervision" in handling violence & safety w/ the students by informing the parents of such activities/ police involvement, & with their yearbook. For the past 5 years, I think this school has not improved w/ their test scores, it's still below California standards. Their yearbook 2022-2023 is an embarrassment & not sure how it was approved to be published & distributed to students. It looked like a kid's social media page w/ blurry images. Highlight your students who contribute to the betterment of your school, highlight their talents, skills & academic performance that brings pride to Winton Middle School! And, not put an inappropriate photo of a student front & center that looked like he's licking a finger (in my opinion). It's a page right after all the photos of principal, teachers & staff were. Also, hopefully, they can invest on a better camera for student photographers to use.Your Yearbook should represent everyone, every group or organization at Winton, staff & students. It should give you pride when you look at it. Come on Winton! You can do better than this! Hopefully, this year will be a better year for this school because there are teachers & staff who are doing their job & try to make it right for their students. HUSD need to observe on what's happening to their schools especially at Winton because generally Hayward students are good, smart, talented & skilled. Encourage them & embrace them all, you will see a difference & improvement in our schools here. I wish you all the best!Parent Review7mo ago - Check out schools near 236 Smalley Ave.

"Not for Parents this is for the City of Hayward that our streets are not lighting correctly and the side walks are not all that great . Some streets don’t have side walks specially on the noun incorporated areas we don’t have side walks or Ramps for Handy cups and people here in my street drive almost 100 miles on hour Car are Flying by . They need to instal speed bumps So they can slow down every like 100 feet. It’s Crazy how some people drive so fast and unsafe . Thank you that’s all "
