4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI would not recommend that any child attend this school. This school is unsafe and dangerous for children, as there is no punishment for bullying. We are new to this area, and my 7th grader was assaulted in the bathroom during PE by a student much larger than him. My son reported it to the counselors and principal and they did nothing. He was afraid to return to school because they would not suspend or expel the student who attacked him. In the end, we had to homeschool our child for the rest of the school year. When we mentioned not bringing our child back to school, the principal (Seana Condit) was only concerned about him missing state testing. She had zero concern for the safety of children at this school. The student who assaulted my son is still on campus.Parent Review9mo ago - Hayward High School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageBoth my children have excelled at Hayward High. My daughter is now entering her sophomore year at UC Berkeley and my son is definitely UC bound. Their AP program is excellent and prepped my daughter well for the academic curriculum at Berkeley. Just stay in your kid's "business", make sure they take challenging courses, stay respectful of their teachers and participate in sports or other clubs and your children will do well.Parent Review8mo ago - Stonebrae Elementary School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school was unable to provide my child with a proper education. They were unwilling to help my child who has a learning disability, even with an IEP in place. They never provided the service hours as written in the IEP, often telling me they didn't have time for him. The teachers avoided addressing his needs and continued to ignore his struggles. It wasn't until I pulled him out of this school and placed him into another school, outside of HUSD, that he began to thrive. His new school not only follows his IEP, they've willingly added and adjusted his IEP to better meet his needs. Shame on this institution for failing to provide the proper education to my child. Leaving this school was life changing for my child, this school broke his confidence and harmed his self-esteem.Parent Review1y ago - Check out schools near 1005 Major Ave.

"I've lived in this neighborhood for three years. It's a mix of commercial and residential. While it would be nice to have some grocery stores and other food related businesses, it's not too far of a drive from downtown. Good distance from some hiking spots with great views of the east bay too."

"The Hayward Hills offer many hiking, running and walking trails to explore. Cal State East Bay offers many community activities including sporting events and performing arts. All the elementary schools in the Hayward hills have recently been rebuild and outfitted with the latest teaching technology. The community is very friendly and welcoming. Traffic is lite and public transportation is always a short distance away. Come see Hayward from a different view, come to the Hayward Hills."
