5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI was a student at this school. They have great, nice, professional teachers. The staff members and counselors are great and nice too. PE in this school has fun activities. The lunch at this school is like any other and they have two options sometimes, to pick from. 5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageHawthorne has had a bad image in the past, but it has done wonders to turn it around. There are many programs in place dedicated to supporting students and their needs. Some of these programs include after-school tutoring, therapy, intervention specialists, ELD support, AP classes, academies, etc. The school district also offers teachers regular professional development (some required and some optional). The majority of teachers on this campus are passionate educators who truly care about the students. My son has told me he gets along very well and very little to none bullying you see. I’ve met the teachers they are very nice and so is the staff. We chose to go to Lawndale High School for their academies and their Sports program. We are so happy that we did. "Any owner should be glad that their pets have tall grass on every lawn, also it’s a lot of other dogs cats And friendly owners.! Something they probably won’t like is that some owners don’t pick up they’re dogs pooped after they use it in peoples grass.! "

"I do not participate in any events, so I really do not know what the community does, except for the 5k every year. There are community services for seniors, and in some parks they have classes, like Ballet, Piano, for kids, and some adult fitness classes."
