"Very long because of traffic hitting us from all different directions. Madison alone takes 20 minutes or more when it’s busy. I’ve literally lived here since I was 3 and I have watched it grow over the last 40 years. There’s no privacy anymore "

"We love it here. It has a wonderful village and a strong sense of community. We really enjoy the small town feel with the close proximity to the city. The village is charming and we spend a lot of time at the river and hiking. The schools are great and the parks and rec department provides so many events. It’s just a wonderful place to raise a family. "

"It’s pretty quiet. There are a library with a park and the village is quaint. The wild chickens are the mascot and there is a farmers market at the mall every weekend, but technically that’s Citrus Heights."

"Fair Oaks near the Village is a unique lifestyle. Close community involvement and activities, all surrounding a park full of chickens ! The Sacramento River & trail access is part of the downtown energy, as well as locally owned antique shops and restaurants. No fast food and neon signs ( ooops ! except for the famous Stockman Bar-sign ! ) Concerts in the Park and live outdoor theater anchor the charm. I will forever want to be near a "walking-community", after living near the "Village" . * Fair Oaks near Hazel, or San Juan Ave is not the same as Fair Oaks near the Village . FYI when looking for a home. "
