"It has a small town feel in the heart of a big City. Encino is very central and has easy access to the west side and the east sides of LA plus across the valley. Parking is easy. Lots to do with kids. Wish we had better restaurants, my only grip. "

"There are tons of dogs and people who walk them, but we are in the hills and the streets are steep. It is great exercise for me and my dogs. People are very respectful about picking up after their dogs. There is a great off leash park a few miles away and also great hiking trails up on Mulholland"

"Hayvenhurst is infested with people who think it’s a shortcut from 101S to 405S every morning. If you’re going to live here, find work in the valley to avoid the stress of traffic every morning "

"Family has been in the same home since 1949. Neighborhood still pretty great, has a few bruises here and there. Neighbors not as friendly as they once were. Not a community as much as it used to be. Large houses taking over the older homes."

"Encino is a very dog-friendly neighborhood. I see people walking their dogs all the time, plus a lot of restaurants are dog friendly as well. The city, as well as neighboring cities, have dog parks available to the community. It’s a great place to have a dog!"

"There are many families in the neighborhood with small children but rarely is anyone outside so meeting others is difficult. Having said that we have wonderful neighbors that we have met. "
