5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageDo not send your kiddos to this school. There is a high number of bullying at this school which the elementary principal does not address. The principal is quick to blame your child (the student) for being harassed, bullied, or taunted by other students. Some teachers are just as bad as the students when it comes to taunting the children. There are good teachers there who genuinely care about their students, you just have to know which teacher it is. Please speak to several parents before enrolling your child in this school. It is not what it appears.Other Review5mo ago - Emery Secondary School

"The neighborhood is not walk-able in terms of safety. There will be other dog walkers who don’t clean up their mess, which is not uncommon. "

"The area at one point in time was safe in a good neighborhood to live in. It’s not too bad now it’s pretty safe but since the pandemic, I have noticed more packages being picked up and taken from porch steps, cars having their wheels taken off of them And lack of police patrols. Overall, it’s still a decent neighborhood to live in but since the pandemic things have gotten a little worse, hopefully things will get better soon."

"I think they would not like that there is no dog park or specific area just for the dogs and no places for them to run all around but the one thing I think they would like is the estuary has a trail that you can walk along and bring your dogs without a leash "

"I've lived in the neighborhood for 2 years and absolutely love it. It's in a fantastic location that is walking distance to Lake Merritt and a short bike ride to downtown. Philomena, Xochi the Dog Cafe, Portal, and Lucky's are all right here. The neighborhood has beautiful old homes and is in an obvious transition phase. Tons of houses are getting updated and a real community pride is blossoming."
