8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI am suspicious of eight glorified reviews being typed on 11/02/21, plus the subsequent reviews being so close together. Most reviews are spaced out and seem more authentic. I agree about the lunch situation. My daughter would get in line and have to wait a long time. By the time she got to the food area, there would be no more lunches. The administration should have ensured kids got food. Regarding teachers, the sixth-grade team was perfect! My daughter loved her teachers and got an excellent education. Most of the seventh-grade teachers were good, but the science teacher showed differential treatment and was unfair. He was not impartial when it came to rewarding top students. Eighth grade had an awkward science teacher who said and did odd things. The Spanish teacher was very effective and was my daughter’s favorite teacher. However, she required pupil fees for participation in educational activities (food truck), and that did not seem legal. Some kids did not get to participate in classroom activities if they did not pay. The principal was passive and useless. She did not follow through or take parents’ concerns seriously, and the resource teacher was snippy and discriminated against kids she did not like. There was too much testing last year. The school started “Illuminate”. Kids felt a lot of unnecessary pressure and were exhausted from all the testing.Parent Review1y ago - Oak Meadow Elementary School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe were new to the school in the Fall of 2017. Our kids came from a private school in the bay area and are currently in 3rd and 4th grade. Both kids have transitioned well thanks to the welcoming students and staff. And both our kids were academically prepared coming from a private school. We did a lot of research before we relocated and bought a house in this schools boundaries. Its the community and staff that makes this school shine. Our only complaints, although this is with almost all public schools in CA, classes are too large especially in the upper grades and there is minimal enrichment opportunity. That is the biggest trade off going from private to public school. No school is perfect and every child/family is looking for something different. Do your research. Both the Buckeye and Rescue School Districts in this area have pretty solid schools. Oak Meadow Elementary is meeting our needs and you will be hard pressed to find a better public elementary school option. We are grateful our family landed here.Parent Review6y ago - Oak Ridge High School

10/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThere is a lot of entitlement in El Dorado Hills in general but that can be attributed to a student's home life. That is not indicative of this school. The school has been very supportive of my kids and has welcomed my input. I see reviews of sour grapes from some of the parents but these kids finish with a quality education and the majority go on to college.Parent Review11mo ago - Check out schools near 6002 Brogan Way.

"Music and Arts education and Expressive Arts Therapy are the critical component for the proper development of advanced cognitive functions of our evolutionary young and still evolving human brain. The artistic process that involves metaphorical cognition is the gateway to the adequate self-perception, through th prism of sensory reactivation, crucial to serve as the counterpoint to the societal convention of emotional self-repression that debilitates our sensory abilities to inform our self-preservation instinct, involved into prioritizing for the right reasons and choosing the right goals and purposes."
