It is very family and pet friendly, a great place to take a walk or ride a bike, has strong community involvement, some of the highest rated schools in California, and even free public transportation to get around town. More of a family area than a singles area, it is still close enough to great restaurants and plenty of culture (Stanford University is just down the road, after all) to be enjoyed by any segment of the population.
