Competition is pretty high as the town (Davis) is a small community with a very large University of California campus, and thus is filled with parents who have advanced degrees and very high academic standards. I suspect academically weaker students will feel this, but on the other hand academically talented students will have the opportunity to excel. Excellent curriculum with lots of diversity in thought and we felt that the teachers have cared about the growth and development of our child. Teachers have high standards, which is what you would expect from a school in this particular area.
