8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageHorrible special education teacher Holly Gutierrez. Tara Towne-Robins is unhelpful, rude and loves to nitpick, instead of lifting a finger to help. Attendance is an absolute mess. I took my child out as soon as possible. Everyone there is passive aggressive and expects you to read their minds, but never actually contact you and let you know what’s going on. Also, make sure you sign EVERYTHING, even optional documents or they threaten you. My child was so stressed she became Ill.Parent Review1y ago - Chico High School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAbsolutely horrible school. They have no one communicating with each other. The counselors are MIA and never call amyone back. Same goes for the principals and the front desks. The only one that will ever call back is the attendance person (pfcourse because if the kids dont show up the school doesnt get funded) which is why im honeschooling now. Oroville High is much much better. They should be ashamed of themselves.Parent Review5mo ago - Citrus Avenue Elementary School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSince Principal Shirley Williams arrived four years ago, Citrus has been transformed. She got rid of the dead wood on the teaching staff - and there was a lot of it - and hired fantastic new young excited teachers who are super tech-savvy and enthusiastic. There are tens of thousands of dollars of new books in the library and a new standard of behavior expectations. A partnership with a community group has resulted in two new computer labs and a student store where kids spend "power paws" they earn by going above and beyond the call of duty. Parents are participating in greater numbers as they feel welcomed and encouraged. There is a real family culture at the school and the kids are cherished.Teacher Review9y ago - Rosedale Elementary School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageRosedale is amazing. I don't know why the whole of Chico doesn't send their children there. My son started in Kindergarden so I'm not sure about starting in later grades but starting in Kindergarden all the children work and learn together. I saw how they built a strong foundation in reading in Spanish and it translated to English almost instantly. All of a sudden my son was reading in English too- incredible. The teachers are caring and helpful. They have high expectations that are easily met by the students. I think sometimes we underestimate what our children can do. They have tutors if needed. My son went to school here K-2 and then we had to move. The main thing we miss about Chico is Rosedale- I wish I could find a school like this where we live now. We miss the teachers, friends, activities and learning too. I highly recommend this school!!!! Love you Rosedale!Parent Review5y ago - Check out schools near 254 E 4th Ave #2.

"Area is very pet friendly. Lots of people walking their dogs but not too much foot traffic. Night walks not suggested because of low visibility and some high vehicle traffic by main roads"
