4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageGreat school. The children are allowed to be children, and new aged values aren't forced upon them. They are presented, but there is much more respect for individual family believes to take precedence over state forced learning agendas.Parent Review6y ago - Chester Junior/Senior High School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating Averageenrollment is very low. The school is grades 7 through 12. Since enrollment is so low they don't have the right kind of teacher is teaching the right kind of classes. There's not enough students to offer good extracurricular classes. They do have a wonderful music teacher misses brown she really cares and is very excited about her program. Other than that not a lot of opportunities for growth here.Parent Review10y ago - Indian Valley Elementary School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageFor whatever reason, the cafeteria seems to consistently fail the students. Every Thursday for the past year, the cafeteria does not make enough food which leaves students without a meal and hungry. Despite the fact that the attendance department informs the cafeteria how many students need a lunch to avoid this exact problem. The whole point of the school providing a meal for students is to get them through the rest of the day and they can't even seem to do that. For many students, this could be the only reliable meal of the day. This is totally unacceptable and whatever underlying issue is causing this problem it needs to be resolved for the well-being of the students.Other Review2y ago - Pioneer/Quincy Elementary School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOver the years this school and school district has lost all good and meaningful attributes it once had. To the way they no longer care about each individual child and their disabilities or personal needs, to the way they have a no acception rule to bullying that they in no way abide by. To the unbelievable way they act and treat students is disgusting. They have a way of putting on a smile and seem so concerned and caring, but when parents aren't able to see or hear what's going on the treatment of their children is anything but concerned or caring. They have been known to favor their own children or family members children over others in situations of bullying or other concerning situations. Always protecting their own children or children close to them. Handing out unfair punishment to the children they don't like or don't like their parents.. being that many of us grew up and went to school together, the staff often decides wether they like a child or not simply based on their feelings towards the childs parent or parents. And it's widely known that the principal Laura Hollister is the District Attorney's wife and uses county resources to run background checks on parents and care givers on a regular basis as a way to decide how she feels about the child or children under her educational care. And based on her feelings towards these children is the determining factor on how your children will be treated or favored. These kids fall behind in school and are never cared for enough to receive help catching back up.. they pass them forward with no care for the childs success. As long as your child is in attendance they could care less about the kids in their school. It's sad to watch as these children are mistreated and discarded. I myself attended this school as a child. And unfortunately things aren't the way they used to be many years ago. Plumas Unified School District is the last place you want your child to attend school. We need change here, and unfortunately I don't see any changes in the near future. Our children deserve better than this. 100%Parent Review1mo ago - Check out schools near 342 Meadow Rd.
