5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIt's day 1 of my daughter's school year in the pioneering science program. She has 2 classes with no teachers and was removed from her honors classes after raising concerns of threats being made by another student. Principal cares very little for your student....be mindful of the fact that when bullying occurs here, you're on your own. Principal advised us he was creating a "safety plan" for our daughter. I guess that meant kicking her out of the classes she worked hard to get into. It's been 4 months since the reporting and no follow up or "plan" has been made. I'm enrolling my daughter in kickboxing so when the bully shows up again, she can take care of it on her own. I guess if there's a reason for the 1 star it's that you've made my daughter realize that you're on your own in this world...its toughened her up a bit.Parent Review7mo ago - Limerick Avenue Elementary School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son’s kindergarten teacher can’t even spell properly. She sent a letter saying that he isn’t following instructions properly and has missed too many classes. He has missed 3 due to a fever and has only been in kindergarten 1 month. I don’t know what she said to him, but he came home and said “this is the worst day ever, I’m a bad student”. Not kid deserves to feel that, especially when they are 5.Parent Review5mo ago - Check out schools near 8609 De Soto Ave #141.

"The bike paths the go thru the area and into Warner Center are outstanding for bicycle enthusiasts. The neighborhood is nestled between trendy Warner Center on one side and upper middle class West Hills on the other and Chatsworth is also close by with one of the most expansive hiking trails, baseball diamonds and meandering horse trails if that's your thing. Just like everywhere else there is the homeless element that spills into the area... However, the homeless are people too and for the most part are the older children of once well to do parents whom have either passed away or moved leaving their teenagers on the street to fend for themselves. There are no problems here that couldnt be solved through better, more caring parenting instead of those "parents" acting more like pet owners who adopt puppies but grow tired of them when they're no longer cute and tie them up in their back yard to live out the rest of their live alone and forgotten. if people would just rise to the challenges they've created for themselves and at least pretend to care long enough for those children to develop a sense of self worth and respon"

"We bought our house in Canoga Park in 1997. This area is quite and people are friendly. Most of the houses look well maintained, with trees and flowers. Canoga Park is between two major freeways-101 and 118, this gives some commuting flexibility which is so important for always growing and therefore congested LA. It is 3 minutes from the Village that is still in the building process. The part that is finished and being used for awhile now is major attraction "

"I have a dog and don’t really have any thing to say positive or negative. I walk her 3-4 times a day. For the most part every body seems to pick up after their dogs. There isn’t a whole lot of grass around just a few little stretches, but enough. "
