4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI used to love this school, but ever since 2021 with new staff and principal this school went down hill, specially for special Ed students today is the first day they have no idea what class room is my child was placed two different staff members had different list and different rooms no one was there to help him guide him, we were not allowed to walk them in, this school and staff are the worst they had my child and other students waiting for 30 minutes to figure out where to place them, it is not a safe environment for them.Parent Review1y ago - Canoga Park Senior High School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageCanoga Park High School is very adamant about students doing the best they can and getting into college; assemblies are made to see where students are academically and to remind them about where they are supposed to be. They offer good magnets, academic resources, and extra summer learning apart from the usual summer credit make-up such as ninth-grade summer geometry classes. While CPHS has good initiative in academics they do a poorer job in almost every other aspect. Many of the non-magnet counselors (only ever encountered non-magnet) never answer their emails or are never in their offices, the campus is dirty with trash and writings on the bathroom stalls, and they lack a sense of urgency with student complaints (about other students/teachers/campus. There is very little accessibility for those who require a wheelchair apart from the one(maybe two) elevator/s on campus. Students are rowdy, ill-mannered, and have very little desire to learn; many classes get interrupted by a student who complains or tries to be funny in a disrespectful manner. Recently, mirrors have been removed from bathroom stalls in an alleged attempt to keep students in classes in the morning/during class time but to no avail students still linger in the bathroom and around campus.Student Review5mo ago - Christopher Columbus Middle School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe academics at this school are a joke, even in "honors" they were barely being taught. The kids are babied, majorly. They aren't taught at very high standards and don't get a true consequence for violence. There are fights way too often here and most the kids disrespect the adults. Not enough staff to keep up with all the mischief. The newer assistant principal is no good. He doesn't take parent/student concerns seriously. To get your kid into a true and fun elective...good luck on that as well. They don't offer too much.Parent Review6mo ago - Check out schools near 21915 Wyandotte St #113.

"The bike paths the go thru the area and into Warner Center are outstanding for bicycle enthusiasts. The neighborhood is nestled between trendy Warner Center on one side and upper middle class West Hills on the other and Chatsworth is also close by with one of the most expansive hiking trails, baseball diamonds and meandering horse trails if that's your thing. Just like everywhere else there is the homeless element that spills into the area... However, the homeless are people too and for the most part are the older children of once well to do parents whom have either passed away or moved leaving their teenagers on the street to fend for themselves. There are no problems here that couldnt be solved through better, more caring parenting instead of those "parents" acting more like pet owners who adopt puppies but grow tired of them when they're no longer cute and tie them up in their back yard to live out the rest of their live alone and forgotten. if people would just rise to the challenges they've created for themselves and at least pretend to care long enough for those children to develop a sense of self worth and respon"

"We bought our house in Canoga Park in 1997. This area is quite and people are friendly. Most of the houses look well maintained, with trees and flowers. Canoga Park is between two major freeways-101 and 118, this gives some commuting flexibility which is so important for always growing and therefore congested LA. It is 3 minutes from the Village that is still in the building process. The part that is finished and being used for awhile now is major attraction "

"I have a dog and don’t really have any thing to say positive or negative. I walk her 3-4 times a day. For the most part every body seems to pick up after their dogs. There isn’t a whole lot of grass around just a few little stretches, but enough. "
