5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis is an amazing middle school. My daughter thrived here and participated in multiple programs including the cooking competitions and performed with the winning show choir team. The new principal is from Roosevelt and actually came to my home to teach my daughter how to sew a quilt every Monday for a month. There is a true sense of community at this school and my child was well prepared for high school as a result.Parent Review2y ago - William Mckinley Elementary School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe school has been a terrific place for our children. We chose to enroll our kids in the Dual Immersion program in Burbank and selected this school over Disney (both of which we liked). The principal has assembled a great team and is truly passionate about ensuring kids at the school receive a great education in a terrific atmosphere. The teachers are caring and among the best in Burbank. They oftentimes attend PTA meetings and additional meetings (for DI) on their own time. The children attending the school are from a diverse set of socio economic and linguistic/cultural backgrounds, and I think that's an advantage for all of the kids who are attending. I would encourage parents considering the district to include this school on their list.Parent Review4y ago - Check out schools near 250 W Spazier Ave #209.

What Locals Say about Burbank

"Sometimes people don’t pick up after their dogs which gives dog owners a bad name. There are a lot of friendly dogs around but it’s the owners that are sometimes not being responsible about not throwing their dog’s trash in a trash can "
- Luvskye03

"The commute is pretty easy. A little congestion during the rush hour times but any time past 9pm there is little to no traffic "
- Susan

"Traffic is not too bad most of the time and I can get to and from work on average in about 20 minutes"

"I’ve always felt very safe in this neighborhood. I walk alone at night to local restaurants. It’s well-maintained. Bike friendly, and has been a great place to live."

"The drivers are a little crazy so keep your kids tightly in hand. The community is beautiful and businesses are all very personable. We have felt like neighbors rather than tourists. "
- Trulia User

"The thing that makes this community is the actual sense of community which is hard to come by in LA County. I think people feel this and strive to meet those ends "
- Trulia User

"Ummm there are film studios near by and ummmm a lot of Armenian pride. It’s safer I guess than some other LA area neighborhoods. It’s kinda central to lots of other areas. "

"It’s old school Los Angeles. It’s not to modern, but it’s also a fan of its history. Burbank is better suited than noho."

"I've lived in this neighborhood for almost 5 years and all of my neighbors have been super friendly. It appears to be safer than other areas of LA and it's extremely dog friendly. I always see a lot of people walking their dogs when I'm walking my dog"

"Everything all in one place! You have your restaurants, bars, movie theatre, grocery stores, baseball fields and so much more."

"The neighborhood is extremely dog friendly. I always see people walking there dogs in the mornings and evenings. There are a couple of parks near by that are dog friendly. Then only problem is being out to look late and the coyotes are around. Everyone with a small dog knows not to leave them outside and also don't take them out for late night walks."
- Trulia User

"Commute in the morning is fairly good. Commute in the afternoon/evening can be a hassle due to an abundance amount of traffic. "
- Trulia User

"Nothing. It’s overcrowded. There are too many apartments and no parking. The neighbors speed up and down the streets and alleys. "

"Safe, nerdy, and lots of delicious food. There's also an arcade at the mall! Wish there were more shopping on the non-mall end of San Fernando though. it's mostly food now. Some activities would be nice too. But groceries, pharmacy, nice neighbors! It's a lovely place to live."

"Friendly, clean and safe neighborhood! Close enough to a lot, but still has a suburban-ie feel to it. Plus we have our own water and power company which can be nice. Downtown Burbank is great and has tons of yummy restaurants. Also close to all the major studios so the entertainment and art feel about the whole area is pretty spot on! Great schools too! "
