Description
This property is not currently for sale or for rent on Trulia. The description and property data below may have been provided by a third party, the homeowner or public records.
Opening to a dramatic living room in the spirit of Maybeck, this home offers beauty and an easy lifestyle. Great, wide windows in the living room and sunny family room look out to San Francisco, the Golden Gate bridge and Bay views. Extensive redwood paneling deepens the natural feel of the home. Built in 1927, this has been home for the same family since 1967. Their care has maintained the classic charm and architectural details while making improvements over time. Dining is a pleasure indoors and out - choose the dining room with views of tree tops and the lush lawn or open the double doors to bring the party outside for a great meal on the deck. Garden steps lead to a park-like redwood setting along the lower paths. Enjoy the bright kitchen overlooking the garden's lovely rhododendrons and azaleas and don't miss the secluded front patio among the trees. The ground level is a bonus with the laundry room, storage and two additional rooms you can adapt for your favorite activities.

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe Principal has been very receptive and always available to discuss our concerns. I visit the school at different times of the day throughout the year and I see his presence in the lunch room on the yard and in the school as a strong and positive influence on the school , it's students and the teaching staff. The PTA is involved and the school supports may different initiatives on behalf of BAM and the community.Parent Review5y ago - Berkeley High School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIf you’re interested in a Wolk environment, that places social issues above education, this is the place for you. It caters to the lowest common denominator at the expense of serious students. If you’re a self-starter and seriously motivated student, you might survive. It can offer a quality education, but those opportunities diminish year-by-year as political agenda takes hold. There is little to no repercussions for violent behavior.Parent Review11mo ago - Martin Luther King Middle School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AveragePhenomenal school is every way. Diverse and welcome in learning community with high quality teachers in TK and K. My student has thrived here and I can’t wait to see what next school year brings. The after school staff really connected with my student and principal Hunt is a very dedicated. Don’t skip the potluck and movie nights as well as other school functions like back to school etc. they are so so worth it. Forgot to mention one of the best aspects, the specialists! My student has dance, garden, nutrition/ wellness, and art!Parent Review1y ago - Oxford Elementary School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI had two kids in this school. One of them was severely traumatized, the other one fared better but was also not really happy. They have ZERO help for kids during recess. When there is a fight kids are told off, when there is bullying they rather victim blame than helping the child. The principal is old fashioned and loves teachers that yell at and punish kids. Group punishments? Great! Shaming a kid as punishment? Yes!The school has a few fantastic teachers but it doesn't make up for the rest.Parent Review2y ago - Washington Elementary School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWashington is an excellent school academically and offers tons of enrichment classes like science, gardening, art, music, and library each week. What's so special about the school is that it has the strongest community out of any of the other Berkeley public schools. Each teacher is skilled and cares about the wellbeing of the children. It also has an amazing playground with its own forest. If your child gets into Washington, consider yourself lucky!Parent Review7mo ago - Cragmont Elementary School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageNine out of ten. The school was built In 1999 with seismic Proofing also Ng with great surveillance cameras and security. The PTA is absolutely wonderful and we as parents have been participating and engaged. Parents are educated and great to hang out with. The teaching skills are very acceptable. I really like the melting pot of the students along with the teachers.Parent Review4y ago - Check out schools near 76 Bonnie Ln.

"I grew up on Oakvale Ave & Domingo, and even as a kid I felt that Claremont was the best neighborhood ever: so many families, with genuine community spirit, and all kinds of beautiful, secret places to explore (safely). Now that I’ve lived in Palo Alto, Bryn Mawr, Philadelphia, Manhattan—and raising my own three children in Brooklyn—it’s clear to me that this neighborhood is a uniquely special, sometimes magical, place to grow up. I wish I could move it to Brooklyn!"

"we care for each neighborhood, and watch out for one another in this big community. From helping the elderly to supporting the youth it's one big fest of communities colliding together and having each other backs. Let's not forget the big parties and many fusion restaurants they have to offer. With its diversity of multicultural foods the possibilities are endless and of course let's not forget our classics to New York style pizza to traditional Mexican cuisine it's an abyss of nothing but delicious food coming your way "

"There are a lot of dog walkers around during the day time, but the street lighting isn’t consistent. Also, nearby parks do not feel very safe before sunrise or after sunset. There are frequent assaults reported in the area. I make a point to only walk my dog during the day and without headphones in, so that I can be aware of my surroundings. "
