"Dog owners would and do love this neighborhood because there isn’t much traffic, there are many exciting animal smells to sniff—and dog walks are a terrific way to meet nice people quickly and easily."

"A lot of residents have dogs and they walk them regularly. They congregate at Codornices Park across Berkeley Rose Garden"

"Easy, I drive to West Berkeley and it’s typically about 12 minutes to get to work. Driving in the Berkeley hills always calls for caution as there are people and children out on the streets where there aren’t always proper sidewalks. "

"Hills, architecture, parks every where, great city views on walks, a sense of community (which can make people too wary), greenery, lots of dog walking at any hour, nature is so close which is fantastic for bird watching (Cal Falcons, Commodores, etc), deer frolicking all the time, turkey can be seen on their strolls, every house a drive way but most are too small for cars to fit. "My wife and I have lived in this area since 1980. We raised three kids here and will likely continue living here as long as we are alive. We take almost daily walks up the hill into nearby Tilden Park, or down the hill to shop for groceries. 2 bus lines are 2 and 3 blocks away, Bart is 8 minutes by car, the freeway is 7 minutes by car but cannot be heard. It's so quiet at night that guests regularly oversleep. Neighbors are friendly and tolerant, crime is the lowest in Berkeley. Views on San Francisco Bay are breathtaking. Winters are mild, summers can be foggy, but fall is fantastic. No rain from mid April to mid November. Why live anywhere else? "
