One of them has an IEP for both speech and ADHD and the accommodations have let them be a very successful student. My other child has had one teacher that came off as being very harsh due to the number of incredibly disruptive students in that class with no self control, but they still have had a good experience overall. 4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageBad school. Students always "revisit" things from elementary school. Students have no personal space. When help is asked, nothing happens. Yes, a teacher/admin may tell the bully to stop doing yada yada, but it never stops. Safety is bad too. While I had high hopes and expectations, the reality is that the school and community do not want to make the adjustments needed to improve student performance and to change attitudes towards diversity and equity. The school supports discriminatory practices such as tracking, which harms students. It does not support special needs learners effectively. "Felon is a small town in the redwoods next to Silicon Valley. Excellent schools and community, amazing parks and close to Santa Cruz beaches. We moved here last year and our kids (and adults) never want to live anywhere else."
